When my paintings are left alone for the last time and no more colour is added then what remains is a touchstone, a way of judging not only the picture but your assessment of its surface.
The layers that are build up in my later paintings and the ones that I have begun in Prague are increasingly a form of narrative. The last marks brushed onto a worked surface is a final sentence to a visual text that constantly rewrites itself with each viewing and viewer.
I now live and work in Prague.
